OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WANTS/PLANS GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF THE MEDIA

"Jon Leibowitz, the chairman of Obama's Federal Trade Commission, is at the epicenter of a quiet movement to subsidize news organizations, a first step toward government control of the media."

 "Now Leibowitz has begun to pounce. A May 24 working paper on "reinventing" the media proposes that the government impose fees on websites such as the Drudge Report that link to news websites or that it tax consumer electronics such as iPads, laptops, and Kindles. Funds raised by these levies would be redistributed to traditional media outlets."

"We can see a future in which news media are reluctant to be too partisan or opinionated for fear that they would endanger their public subsidy".

These "traditional media outlets" that the levies would be "redistributed to" most probably would become the mouthpieces of the government as they would be recipients of federal money and thus come under government control.

The private, non-governmental news outlets that relay to us the non-whitewashed truth would eventually be unable to stay financially afloat due to the taxes bullied out of them. 

Any operating expenses would be thereby given unto the government controlled media who would, of course, relay only government approved news.

Therefore, only the "news" that the government wants the American citizens to know would be broadcast and then only with their "spin".

This is just more indication of the coming tyranny in America, as we continue to slide down the slippery slope of socialism. 

We are slipping fast and will soon land on the road to the one world government, led by the prophesied antichrist:

WASHINGTON IS AGAIN FEIGNING AN "EMERGENCY" TO PASS LEGISLATION TO ERODE OUR FREEDOMS!!

This Memorial Day weekend, Harry Reid is using an "emergency" war-funding bill to funnel billions of dollars into pet liberal social programs and has pledged to keep the Senate in session through this holiday weekend until this bill is passed.

This is reminiscent of the Obamacare bill late last year wherein the Democrats tried to claim that it was such an "emergency" that Congress might need to stay and vote on Christmas Eve.

So again, the liberals are trying to shove through their evil agenda on us by claiming an "emergency" in order to pass undesirable legislation on a holiday weekend.

In all, Congress is currently rushing to pass two massive spending bills that include at least $150 billion in new unfunded spending.

These crooked politicians who are running Washington have also slipped in a repeal of the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy which would DEVASTATE our military.

Last report was that the House had passed this controversial and detrimental legislation. The repeal of this policy would have a multitude of broad and severe repercussions.

Where will these billions of dollars to fund these evil agendas come from?? More taxes of course! Someone needs to give them Economics 101-YOU CAN'T SPEND YOUR WAY OUT OF DEBT!!

Certainly, none of the members of Congress operate this way with their personal finances but since it is OUR money, they don't care!

So, the United States government is declaring "emergency" passage of legislation that will serve only to further stress our brittle economy by piling on more astronomical debt, in addition to demoralizing our military as well as our country.

All the while, they have been purposefully ignoring THE REAL EMERGENCY of the effects of the Gulf Oil Spill on not only our southeastern coastal states, but also potentially on the oceans worldwide.

On this Memorial Day weekend,while we recognize the bravery of those who gave their very lives so that we can be free, our elected officials are busily undermining all they have fought for. 

Washington underhandedly continues to attempt passage of legislation that will contribute not only to the economic, but also to the moral decline of America that will eventually lead to the decimation of our freedoms.
