How much shaking does it take for the world to realize that we are in the last days??

It is only 2 days into 2011 and we have had TWO magnitude 7.0 or greater earthquakes!

A magnitude-7.1 earthquake shook southern Chile on Sunday, prompting tens of thousands to flee the coast for higher ground amid fears it could generate a tsunami like the one that ravaged the area last year. 

 

There were no reports of deaths or damage, and Vicente Nunez, head of the National Emergency Office, said no tsunami alert was issued.

"There has been no harm to people, no harm to property," Nunez said. "We will continue monitoring."

"Earthquake Hits Argentina Is 7.0 Magnitude

January 01, 2011 

A magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck northern Argentina early on Saturday morning. The powerful quake dissipated very deep, so it wasn't felt far away. Nearby towns barely shook. 

Usually if a tremor is shallow the force of the quake goes deep into the Earth, and fewer people feel it, as was the case in Argentina on Saturday.

What is going on with all these natural disasters? Quakes and tremors have occurred in places that rarely get them such as Oklahoma and Indiana. 

On Friday a tornado killed and injured many in Missouri and Arkansas, and it is a rare occurrence to have a tornado in late December."

On December 21st, just ten days prior to these 2011 tremblors, there happened to be a huge 7.4 magnitude quake in Japan. Incredibly there were no injuries and no tsunami resulting.

Incredulously, the data from November 30, 2010 to date shows that there have been EIGHT massive worldwide earthquakes with magnitudes between 6.5 and 7.4; none with any injuries whatsoever:

• Magnitude 6.5 SOUTHEASTERN IRAN December 20, 2010
• Magnitude 6.5 SOUTH SANDWICH ISLANDS REGION December 08, 2010
• Magnitude 6.7 NEW BRITAIN REGION, PAPUA NEW GUINEA December 02, 2010
• Magnitude 6.8 BONIN ISLANDS, JAPAN REGION November 30, 2010

These most recent "big ones" on both days of this brand new year were in different countries; Chile and Argentina.

 

The locations of these 2011 quakes are a considerable distance from one another.

 

If the second, more recent one in Chile, had been in close proximity, then it might could even be considered a large aftershock to the preceding one in Argentina. 

 

However, the locations are far enough apart that this is not the case and both of these events are independent high magnitude quakes.

 

This back to back occurrence is bound to be highly unusual.

 

Please recall that in September of last year we had the 7.0 quake in Christchurch which even though occurring over a large metropolitan area, resulted in no casualties and only only moderate injury.

Following this, there has been an unprecedented,  continuous earthquake swarm at Christchurch which continues to date, with the latest tally now at 4,190.

The New Year's Day earthquake in Argentina is an anomaly itself, with a immense depth that is rarely seen:

"... its epicenter was so deep that it gave only a light shake to towns nearby."

The U.S. Geological Survey said Saturday that the quake, initially registered at 6.9, hit at 6:56 a.m. about 150 kilometers (115 miles) northeast of Santiago del Estero at a depth of 563 kilometers (350 miles).

The average depth for earthquakes from 1980 through the present, in kilometers, is high 50's with 95 km being the very deepest. Please see below graph documenting this:

The increased incidence of major magnitude earthquakes along with this rare quake with extreme depth makes one wonder how close we are getting to the end of days.

The conjunction of these unprecedented quakes with the  dizzying signs of the end times appears to pointing to the soon return of the Lord and beginning of the Tribulation period.

For a while now we have been witnessing the jockeying towards global government along with unprecedented global disasters such as flooding, tornadoes, cyclones, drought and raging fire. 

Let's not forget the economic instability of the entire globe which alone proves the signs of the end times are upon us.

Perhaps all this recent massive and deep shaking indicates that the depths of hell are being enlarged to prepare for the multitude of lost human beings.

Those whose focus is aligned on the "pomp" of this world will enter in during the upcoming Tribulation period.

 Isaiah 5:14   

Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. 

These seismic events may actually be a twofold preparation for the end of the age.

Important to note is the fact that no injuries are reported from these current major quakes.

Just like the 7.0 Christchurch earthquake back in September, God appears to be mercifully trying to get mankind's attention!

Our creator may allow the world to change and purposefully "shake it up" in order for the people to see just how hollow and useless their earthly pursuits are-

In all probability, the focus of many would instantly turn form the distractions of these fleeting earthbound lives, to God, if the world turned upside down!

May those who truly belong to Yeshua see that it is now time to draw near to Him and start forsaking the deceptive cares of this world.

"Awake, awake, oh sleepers!"

It is past time for us to give unto Him the priority He deserves.  Let us give unto Him willingly and not have to be literally "shaken" out of our spiritual slumber.

 

 

 

 

DID WE MISCALCULATE GOD'S TIMING OF THE RAPTURE?

Foremost, it is imperative for all Christ followers to realize that the feast days outlined in the book of Leviticus are God's Feast Days. 

As such, they are not just to be observed by the Jewish people, but by all those whom belong to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. 

The Word of God confirms to us that these feast days are "the appointed feasts of the Lord" and thus belong to the Lord and ALL those who belong to Him, Jew and Gentile.

 

Leviticus 23

Feasts of the LORD

 ¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.. 

Please note that the Hebrew name for feast is "moed" which means "appointed time".The Hebrew word for "convocation" is "miqra" which translated, means "dress rehearsals".

As such, God's Word even indicates to us that His appointed times/feast days were given to us as foreshadowing and actual dress rehearsals for God's plan of redemption.

Incredibly, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus were fulfilled to the very day; falling on the first three, consecutive Spring feasts days.

The Spring Feast day immediately following these three, Shavout, was fulfilled just as precisely. 

The day of Pentecost coincided to the very day as it happened on the actual day of the feast of Shavout.

  

As we can therefore see, the appointed Spring Feast Days were fulfilled to the very days they fell on with the First Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, it is evident that the Fall Feasts will also be fulfilled with such precision, regarding His Second Coming.

With this logic and supporting Scripture, many believe that the Rapture of those who belong to the risen Savior, will also occur on a Feast Day.

The preceding blog entry expounds on the multiple rationales pointing to the feast day of Rosh Hashanah as a very possible designated time for the Rapture. 

For the multitude of reasons explained therein, many who heed the Lord's command to watch for His return, were exceedingly dismayed when the Fall Feast days came and went this year.

However, there has been new and exciting information regarding the timing of the Feast Days this year!

This year's Fall Feast Days may have actually been observed a month too early and therefore may have not yet officially come to pass. The following explains this valid reasoning:

God's calendar begins in the Spring with the first designated month being the month of Nisan. This year's observed Jewish and Gregorian calendars had the month of Nisan beginning 4 days before the actual Vernal Equinox. Thus, it was not officially Spring yet.

This error would likewise result in the incorrect observance of all the Spring and Fall Feast Days as it would result in their scheduled dates on the existing calendar having been a month too early.

Notable is the fact that year's observance of Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets was actually still during the summer as the Autumnal Equinox did not occur until two weeks after the feast was observed. 

Rosh Hashanah is a Fall Feast Day and therefore the dating does appear to be off as it was not celebrated in the fall, but the summer.

Consequently, this deviation moves Rosh Hashanah forward four weeks which means it would instead be observed at the coming next new moon.

According to this theory, on the Gregorian calendar, the next new moon(and possible Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets) falls on October 9, 2010.

Therefore, this coming new moon, around October 9, 2010, may actually be the correct date to observe the Feast Day of Rosh Hashanah, meaning that there is still hope for a Rosh Hashanah Rapture of those who eagerly await their Savior.

Important to note, according to God's Word, the Feast of Trumpets is celebrated with the sighting of the new moon  by two witnesses.

Therefore, the actual day of Rosh Hashanah still cannot be known for certain as the visualization of the new moon may be from October 9, 2010 to several days later.

This new astounding insight, wherein the dating of the Jewish calendar and feast days may actually be off by a month, certainly shows that though we can know the season; no man can know the day or the hour!

Mark 13:32 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

THE FIRST COMING of JESUS WAS PROPHESIED TO THE DAY!

Our God so loves us that He provided us Biblical prophecies in order to understand the times in which we live and to realize that we are now entering the last days.

The religious leaders of Jesus's day, the Pharisees, ignored the ancient prophecies and were not watching for His first coming. 

They were much too comfortable with their earthly, exalted position. They did not necessarily desire the Messiah to come at that time as it would interfere with their role in the religious community.


Had they been watching according to the words of the prophets, they would have known to the exact date, the day of His visitation.

Since they did not, they missed His first coming just as many in the modern day church may miss His second coming.

The majority of the Church and the Church leadership have not heeded the dictates to "watch" and are therefore unaware of the the closeness of His return in these end times.

If the Pharisees had been watching for the prophetic fulfillment of the Scriptures they would have realized that it was the time for the visitation of their Messiah.

The book of Daniel actually provides the timeline for the advent of the Messiah:

 ²⁵ "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. ²⁶ After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing.

Historically, the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem came in 445 BC on March 14th. The Biblical calender is based on the lunar cycle and has 360 days in a  year. 

From the decree of March 14, 445 BC until the time that the "Anointed One will be cut off" which is referring to the first coming of Jesus, Daniel prophesied it to be an interval of 62 weeks + 7 weeks =69 weeks or a total of 69 seven year periods.

69 weeks x 7 years= 483 years

483 years x 360 days annually=173,880 days

Taking the date of the decree of March 14, 445 BC and adding 173,880 days lands exactly on the date of April 5, 32 AD, the date recognized as when Jesus, as King of Kings, rode into Jerusalem on the donkey fulfilling Zechariah 9:

 The Coming King

    ⁹ “ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you;  He is just and having salvation. Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey. 

 The Pharisees, who Jesus called a wicked and adulterous generation, completely missed their Messiah since they chose not to watch even though it was clearly outlined for them in the Scriptures.

Just as today, many professing Christ followers and the "leaders of the flock" are missing the signs of His second coming because they have neglected to watch for the signs of the times that Jesus commanded us to watch for.

Many today appear way too satisfied with this life on earth to even want to listen when they are approached with the blaring signs of the return of Jesus (including the leaders of the church).

As such, a majority of the modern day Church of Jesus Christ can be equated to be modern day Pharisees.


Remembering what Jesus thought of the Pharisees should cause us to not want to be guilty of the same:

Matthew 23: ²⁷"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. ²⁸In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from men; for you do not enter yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in." 

³³"You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

Those who ignore the prophetic Scriptures and the signs of the times will miss the return of our Messiah just as the Pharisees did His first visitation.

May we maintain a diligent watch as He wants us to watch, so we can be aware of the nearness of His return.
